Hyderabad: With the sudden makeover that the city has undergone in the wake of the upcoming mega event – the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) – people seem to have forgotten myriad other issues that have been dogging them for quite a while and all attention appears to be on Ivanka Trump, the daughter and Advisor to the US President Donald Trump.

She will undoubtedly be the cynosure of all eyes when she attends the GES starting on November 28 at HICC in the Hitec City, the IT hub housing many US tech giants.About 1,500 delegates, over half of them women, from 150 countries will participate in the three-day summit. Ivanka is leading the US delegation to the business conclave. Despite the presence of a large contingent of women delegates from various countries, none has raised so much interest as that of Ivanka even among the netizens. In fact, she has become the talk of the town for the past few days.

Although Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much-awaited Hyderabad Metro Rail Project and later the GES conclave on November 28, people’s interest seems to be focussed more on Ivanka than on anything else.

According to Commissioner of Police VV Srinivas Rao, Ivanka Trump will be arriving at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 11.30 am on November 28 and return to the US on November 29. Modi will land at Begumpet Airport on November 28 and heli-hop to Miyapur to inaugurate the Metro Rail. Later, he will proceed to Hitec City to declare open the three-day GES conclave.

Unprecedented high security arrangements have been put in place. In all 17,000 police personnel have been assigned for security of international luminaries. While the US Secret Service personnel would ensure a security ring around Ivanka Trump during her visit here, the Special Protection Group and other elite police forces both from the Centre and State would be in action all the three days.

Special security measures have also been put into place at Falaknuma Palace and Golconda Fort, the venue for dinners being hosted by the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister on November 28 and 29. CCTV cameras have been installed at all vantage points at both the places besides the routes leading to these venues. Ivanka will be travelling in her own specially-built Limousines, three of which would be landing along with her in the aircraft.

On the part of city police, senior police officers of the rank of IGs have been drafted to provide security for Ivanka at Shamshabad Airport, at the hotel where she would be lodging and the traffic arrangements on the route she would be travelling.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hosting a dinner at Falaknuma Palace in honour of Ivanka and other foreign delegates attending the GES on November 28. After the inaugural session, Modi and Ivanka will leave for the opulent palace situated on a hillock in the old city. Ivanka, along with Modi and top US and Indian officials, will dine at the 191-seater dining table, one of the longest in the world and a key attraction of the palace.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is expected to present a silk Pochampally saree and a diamond necklace to Ivanka, while Modi would be presented with a kurta set. All delegates attending the GES would also be presented with specially made Pochampally scarfs.
