Asad Owaisi demands speeding up of developmental works
Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) president and MP Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi asked the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to take up the developmental works meant for old city as early as possible.

He demanded that Old City be declared a flood-free zone by taking up widening of balance nalas as per the Kirloskar report. He along with his party leaders visited GHMC commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and other officials.
Owaisi presented five major issues pertaining to Old City and asked the officials to pursue those. The issues discussed included construction of multi-level parking at Charminar bus stand, Pension of under CPP, reconstruction of existing Murgi Chowk duly dismantling the existing structure, elevated corridor from Zoo Park to Aramgarh, and solution for the Puranapul junction by taking up of flyover from Puranapul to City College.
Owaisi asked officials to release the funds required for the widening of nalas at Kishan Bagha, Indira Nagar, Shivarampally, Talab Katta and for the corridor development at I S Sadan to Nalgonda X road.
