Students pen thoughts on Prophet
As many as 20,000 students participated in a State-level multi-lingual essay competition on Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) here. Prizes for the event “Inpired By Prophet Muhammad”, organised by Students Islamic Organisation (SIO), were given away on Sunday.
Hyderabad: As many as 20,000 students participated in a State-level multi-lingual essay competition on Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) here. Prizes for the event “Inpired By Prophet Muhammad”, organised by Students Islamic Organisation (SIO), were given away on Sunday.
Syeda Hajera, Intermediate second year student from Hyderabad stood first in State and bagged prize money of Rs 50,000.
Vushakola Padmaja, a student of PRBM Junior College hailing from Korutla town, Jagtial stood second and received Rs 25,000. Meanwhile, Mariya Gouher, a graduate student of Vidyarthi Degree College from Adilabad came third and took home Rs 15,000. Participants got consolation prizes worth Rs 2,000.
The event was part of an ogoing campaign by Jamat-e-Islami Hind and SIO Telangana, titled “Muhammad For All” in a bid to publicise the message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and bridge the gap among communities.
