MRPS leader Krishna and his supporters arrested

Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) leader Manda Krishna Madiga and his followers were arrested on Sunday night after they attempted to take out a rally as part of ‘Chalo Tank Bund’ flash call.

The MRPS leader along with his supporters took out a rally towards Tank bund after a meeting organised in connection with commemorating Bharathi, an MRPS activist who died of a cardiac arrest while participating in a protest last month at Ranga Reddy district collectorate.

The Hyderabad police intervened following which chaos erupted as a clash broke out between protestors and the police.

With police holding barricades as an arrangement for the World Telugu Conference (WTC), the mob broke barricades and started heading towards Tank Bund.

Later, police arrested MRPS leader Krishna with a few other leaders and shifted them to the police station in Old City.
