The residents of SC colony, Srinivas Colony, LB Nagar, Deshaipet and Najaratpur alleged that they were not supplied drinking water regularly. A pipeline sanctioned at a cost of Rs 50 lakh one year back was not laid yet.
The issue was taken to the notice of the Mayor, N Narender, who told Executive Engineer Vidyasagar to complete works at the earliest, but the works were not completed, Sharada complained.
The protesting residents and the corporator later met the Commissioner Shruti Ojha demanding to address the issue.
