Film actors, including Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Mohan Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Jagapati Babu, director SS Rajamouli, K Raghavendra Rao, producer Dil Raju and yesteryear actor Jamuna were among those who stole the show. Balakrishna delivered a short but interesting speech on the significance of Telugu language in keeping the people united though they were divided by geographical barriers.
He recalled the services to society by Telangana heroes Komaram Bheem, Burgula Ramakrishna Rao, Madapati Hanumantha Rao, Suravaram Pratap Reddy, besides NTR. Mohan Babu, felicitated KTR on being declared as leader of 2017 by a newspaper and praised him for showing respect to the artistes of the tinsel world by greeting them individually.
Earlier, Vandemataram Srinivas who rendered Telangana songs cast a spell on the audience. Later, Tollywood singers presented popular numbers. Besides, KTR, ministers who were present included Eatala Rajender and Talasani Srinivasa Yadav.
