Uppal: For more than eight years now, the residents of Uppal have been finding it difficult to adjust with the heavy traffic on the roads to find their way out of it. As a result the commuters have to wait for a long time on the roads to cross them.

The parking of private vehicles on the bus stop of Uppal has been creating difficulties for the people waiting for their buses on bus stop. Maruthi Reddy, a software employee and a local resident of Uppal says, “I still remember two days back I was almost hit by a scooter when I was trying to get on to the main road to look for my bus.

These private vehicles parked on the bus stop do not enable us to spot the buses which come in and go”. Yadamma, a local fruit vendor told The Hans India, “These people come and park their vehicles anywhere and everywhere on the bus stop in the morning and the whole day they are not seen. There is no space to stand on the bus stop.”

Brahmaiah, a local auto driver added: “Once I happened to approach one of the drivers of the vehicles parked to ask him to clear the way away at least after afternoon, as it is the time when the children come out after their schools get over. The driver manhandled me saying that the place belongs to them and I have no right to tell him anything.

Purshottam Rao, Traffic Executive director said, “Sorry to hear that people have been suffering for so long now. I will send my team on an immediate basis to inspect the problem and set it right.”
