Medaram (Bhupalpally): Being a part of such a huge event like Sammakka-Saralamma jatara is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Bhupalpally in-charge Collector R V Karnan told the sectorial officers, who gathered at Medaram on Wednesday.

It may be mentioned here that the government has deputed 509 personnel, including 38 sectorial officers, for the smooth conduct of the biennial jatara, scheduled to commence on January 31. “To ensure smooth conduct of a jatara that attracts no less than one crore devotees is no easy job, unless there is an absolute coordination among the officials,” Karnan said.

The in-charge Collector said that division of work and delineation of responsibilities will be shared by the officials working in three shifts.
