Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is coming up with a new software to control illegal constructions under its jurisdiction. The HMDA Commissioner T Chiranjeevulu on Monday reviewed the software along with CPOs Srinivas, Narender, Vigilance DSP MF Rahman and CIO Subramaniam. Presentation was made by Sreshta Tech Solutions CEO K Amarendra Reddy.

The Commissioner instructed them to facilitate for citizens to complain against unauthorised construction through online mode. There should be an option to know the status of their complaint. Case can be initiated based on news reports also. The complaints received would be verified by the concerned authorities by inspecting the site and uploading the images after conducting panchanama.

Local authorities are also being updated about illegal construction activities in their area for necessary action. If any owner proceeds to court against the demolition, the system follows the case with appropriate documentation. There will be strict vigilance on demolished properties to prevent reconstruction.
