Bolarum Ayyappa temple utsavam conclude
With the holy dip of Sree Ayyappa idol in the temple tank situated in the premises of Sree Ayyappa Temple, Bolarum, the annual festival concluded. The festival started on the next day of Makara Jyoti with the hoisting of the holy flag on the dhwajasthambham by Kantararu Mohanaru Thanthri of Sabarimala.
Hyderabad: With the holy dip of Sree Ayyappa idol in the temple tank situated in the premises of Sree Ayyappa Temple, Bolarum, the annual festival concluded. The festival started on the next day of Makara Jyoti with the hoisting of the holy flag on the dhwajasthambham by Kantararu Mohanaru Thanthri of Sabarimala.
The utsavamurthy of Sree Ayyappa was taken out of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and was given the holy dip by the Chief Priest Prashanth Namboothiri, representative of the Thanthri Unnikrishnan Namboothiri and others in the presence of the Executive Officer Mahendra Kumar and scores of devotees.
Later Ayyappa’s idol was taken out in a grand procession in a decorated vehicle accompanied by vadyamelam etc. The procession started from the Bolarum temple went through the streets of Lakdawala, Mutyalamma Temple, Risala Bazaar, Dowton etc and reached back the temple in the temple.
Later the pratishtadinam (consecration day) of Sree Guruvaryurappan was also celebrated with Kalabhabahishekam, Kalasabhishekam for upadevanmar and other special pujas. Next day pratishtadinam of Sree Ayyappa Temple was celebrated with kalabhabhishekam, Guruthi in the evening and other special pujas. With this this year’s Makara Jyoti and Annual festival concluded.
