Barkas: A new Complete Blood Profile (CBP) cell has been established at the Community health centre at Barkas. Mujtaba Hasan Askari, founder, Helping Hand Foundation had requested MP Asaduddin Owaisi for a CBP machine.

With the establishment of the cell, patients to the health centre would now be able to get the CBP test done free of cost. In the past, patients were spending anywhere between Rs 300-600 for blood tests from private labs nearby. On an average, 600-700 patients visit the health centre every day.

Ameena, a resident of Keshavgiri said, “It is a boon to the people living in and around Barkas as many patients are told to go for blood tests.” Mujtaba Hasan Askari says, “We are extremely happy that the MP responded to our request and got the machine sanctioned. We can now be assured that another Unnao like situation will not be repeated here.”

It may be noted that a few days ago, 21 people were infected with HIV after a quack used a common injection for all.
