Nayani distributes 64 Kalyana Lakshmi, 58 Shaadi Mubarak cheques

Musheerabad: The State government is implementing many welfare schemes spending crores of rupees for the benefit of the all eligible poor, said Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy here on Sunday.

Speaking after handing over 64 Kalyana Lakshmi and 58 Shadi Mubarak cheques in the local mandal office along with MLA Dr K Laxman, Reddy stated that the government would ensure that these benefits reach the poor in future also. He advised the beneficiaries to make judicial use of the assistance for betterment of their lives.

Dr Laxman, while stressing that only the eligible persons should get the benefit of the two welfare schemes, advised the mandal office staff to ensure that the assistance amounts were deposited in the accounts of the beneficiaries. The BJP legislator said he would call for increasing the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Munbarak scheme assistance to Rs.1.16 lakh during the ensuing State Budget debate.

Among those present were MRO Shailaja, who presided, GHMC Standing Committee Member V Srinivas Reddy, Corporator Padma Naresh, City BJP secretary Srinivas.
