Hyderabad/Amaravati: The Centre has convened a meeting of Chief Secretaries of Telangana and AP in New Delhi on February 23 where it would take a fresh look at the demands of the two states on what had been promised to them under the AP State Reorganisation Act and what had been done so far. The two Chief Secretaries would be accompanied by Principle Secretaries and other senior officials of various departments.

AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has asked the officials to go through the issues pending before the Centre and present a water-tight case for immediate sanction of the projects promised under the Act. The Telangana government has been asking for the division of the Hyderabad High Court, setting up of a steel plant in the erstwhile Khammam district, tribal and horticulture universities, railway coach factory at Kazipet among others.
