Officials told to identify sites for HH drive
District Collector M Prashanti directed the officials working for Harita Haram project to submit particulars of sites identified for planting saplings as part of plantation drive in 2018.
Nirmal: District Collector M Prashanti directed the officials working for Harita Haram project to submit particulars of sites identified for planting saplings as part of plantation drive in 2018.
Reviewing the progress with the officials at the Collectorate here on Tuesday, she asked them to upload information about the sites identified as per the targets fixed for them. She interacted with the officials of various departments and enquired them about the targets fixed for them and the total sites identified for the purpose.
Joint-Collector Ch Siva Lingaiah told the officials to furnish information about the number of saplings needed for each village. He asked the officials to prepare an action plan to plant banyan and peepal trees in burial grounds, temples and other places.
Divisional Forest Officer Damodar Reddy, District Rural Development Officer Venkateswarlu, Additional SP Dakshina Murthy and other district officials took part in the programme.
