Singareni Calories Company Limited (SCCL) is playing a key role in protecting the environment, said Director (Projects and Planning) B Bhasker Rao. He participated in national-Level workshop at New Delhi, conducted by the Ministry of Environment Science and Management.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that SCCL is maintaining a separate wing to observe the changes in the environment with qualified and experienced persons. The pollution of air, sound, water, earth movements, rains and temperature were being observed in all Singareni Areas. The air quality monitory systems have been implemented in the 17 open costs in the Singareni, he said.
The Company has moved to the great step of producing power and established 2X600 MW Thermal Power Station at Ramagundam, Bhaskar Rao added. The SCCL also maintaining standards in power production and would establish one more power plant with 800MW in Super Critical system, which will not affect environment.
The Director informed that they have planted 2.5 crore saplings all over the Singareni areas in the last three years, in support of the State government’s flagship programme of Haritha Haram. Central Minister of Environments Dr Harshavardhan, Assistant General Managers Vivek Boby, Ganapathy, Deputy Managers P Ravi Kiran and Chandramani participated in the workshop.
