Demo run of machine to clean zebra markings
As the lane paint marks on the main roads and zebra marks on the footpaths in Greater Hyderabad limits are disappearing within days because of pollution, the GHMC has decided to acquire special machines to clean the marks. The machines are being acquired as the cleaning using water is not yielding the desired results.

A machine which is used cleaning lane and Zebra marks, besides latrines, using minimum water, was put on display at NTR Marg on the Necklace Road on Monday. Its working was inspected by Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration Department, Arvind Kumar, and GHMC Commissioner Dr Janardhan Reddy. Dr. Reddy said the technical and utility value of the machine would be studied before taking a decision to acquire it.
