Hyderabad : Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has announced that the condition, that, Post Graduate medical students on completion of their course should compulsorily serve in a government hospital for one year has to be removed.

The Chief Minister said that a Bill in this regard would be introduced in the forthcoming Legislature Sessions. He said this decision will come into force from this year. He instructed officials concerned that the PG medical students who will be completing their degree this year should be registered even without the one-year government hospitals service.

The condition that is in vogue now is that all the PG medical students should compulsorily work in a government hospital for one year to get their PG registered. Students have been demanding for the removal of this condition. He has sympathetically examined the demand.

KCR clarified that since the government is appointing adequate staff in the government hospitals, there is no need to enlist the compulsory services of the PG students.
