Hyderabad : South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav instructed officials to improve and ensure coach cleanliness for all the trains and stations premises by continuously monitoring.

He conducted a review meeting with Principal Heads of Departments today at SCR Headquarters Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) of six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded were also joined through video conference.

Addressing the meeting, the General Manager emphasized on the need to accord high priority to the coach cleanliness over the Zone and to ensure passenger satisfaction by evolving effective mechanism for cleanliness round the clock. He instructed the officials to conduct frequent checks for maintaining cleanliness and formulate system improvement procedures to reach the prescribed standards.

Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager advised the Divisional Railway Managers to prepare station re-development proposals for further action. The meeting also held elaborate discussions on safety aspects and focused on the works related to elimination of level crossings, track renewal works to be carried out to prevent untoward incidents. He also held a detailed review of Punctuality status of the Zone and suggested measures to eliminate the temporary speed restrictions to improve punctuality and mobility. Further, all the DRMs briefed on the progress of works related to elimination of Unmanned Level Crossings (UMLCs) on the Zone targeted for the current financial year.

Additional General Manager John Thomas and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
