KCR announces enhancement of assistance under Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak schemes

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on made an announcement in the state Assembly on Monday regarding the enhancement of assistance under the Kalyana Laxmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes.

He stated that the assistance under these schemes for the marriage of girls above 18 years from SC, ST, minorities and other poorer sections of the society would be increased from Rs 75,116 to Rs 1,00,116.

The schemes which have achieved other societal milestones since their launch have so far helped eliminate child marriages, besides helping distressed families.

KCR said that the two schemes are close to his heart as they are meant to help the poor, SC, ST and minorities families at the time of the marriage of daughters.
