Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister (Revenu) Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that the Telangana Government has decided to launch Dharani Project in the State.

Replying to a question raised by MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy during Question Hour in Legislative Council on Tuesday, the Deputy CM said that Dharani Project is an initiative to design, development and maintain a new web based Integrated Land Records Management System on the lines of core banking system which integrate both Land Records, Survey, Settlement and Registration services in order to maintain all details of above departments at one place.

The Deputy CM said that Dharani Project was highly useful to the farmers of Telangana State. After launching Dahrani website, mutation of registered documents takes place within 48 hours and succession within 10 days.

It will be possible to know the land record details on real time basis from anywhere. It facilitates farmers to address his/her grievances. SMS and e-mail alerts will be enabled to all connected persons and there will be quick redressal of grievances filed by the farmers. He said the updation of land records would be hassle free.

The project integrates and delivers the services of Revenue, Registration, Survey and Agriculture Departments and financial institutions will be able to curtail fake Pass Books. It will also ensure that the subsidies/benefits given by the government reach the genuine farmers, he said.
