Kothagudem: The police department is busy in making tight security in the temple town keeping in view of MPs, MLAs and ministers from Telugu states and other states, who will visit Bhadrachalam during the Brahmotsavalu.

Additional Superintendent of Police B Ashok Kumar from Warangal and Yellendu Division Deputy Superintendent of Police G Prakash Rao were appointed to monitor the security arrangements.

The police are on high alert during the Brahmotsavalu since the temple town lies on the borders of Chhattisgarh and Odisha states and following the recent incidents of Maoists.

Besides Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Governor ESL Narasimhan and both State and Central ministers will visit the temple town. Hence following the orders of Warangal Range Inspector General Nagi Reddy, Superintendent of Police Amber Kishore Jha making tight arrangements for Sri Rama Navami celebrations.

The police department is considering increasing security and checking parties following the border incidents. Assistant Superintendent of Police Sangram Singh Patel and Officer on Special Duty Uday Kumar Reddy inspected all the roads leading to Bhadrachalam.
