Dargah works to be expedited
Hazrat Baba Sharfuddin Dargah popularly known as Pahadi Sharif Dargah is expected to get the much needed attention of the authorities and developmental works near the shrine may start very soon.
Charminar: Hazrat Baba Sharfuddin Dargah popularly known as Pahadi Sharif Dargah is expected to get the much needed attention of the authorities and developmental works near the shrine may start very soon. The state government has promised to start the construction of CC ramp road/motorable track and 4-wheeler hilltop parking connecting to the existing highway to Dargah.
Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali assured this to the Assembly house on Wednesday while answering the questions raised by MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi. He said that administrative sanction has been accorded for an amount of Rs 9.60 crore in this regard.
Hundreds of devotees visit the shrine every month and the proposal of constructing the ramp for them has been there for a long time. The construction of the ramp would be taken up by the GHMC very soon.
Interestingly, the construction of similar ramp/road to midlanding of steps at Moula Ali Dargah has been completed by GHMC under the phase-I of the project. About Rs 25 crore would be spent for the second phase works of midlanding at Moula Ali in the coming days. Deputy CM assured that the construction works would be completed very soon here. People have expressed their happiness over the assurance of state government.
