Fire breaks out at discom building near Telangana CM's camp office

A fire broke out at the sub-division office of the Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) on Sunday afternoon.

The office building is located near the chief minister’s camp office at Begumpet. The mishap occurred around 1:10 pm on the second floor of the building where old electricity reading meters were dumped.

Keeping in view of the VVIP movement, a fire tender from the Secunderabad fire station that was stationed near the camp office and immediately pressed into action following the fire break out.

Officials of the Telangana fire department are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire and the damage caused.

However, there were no casualties reported in the incident.

The fire was brought under control within minutes but a severe traffic jam resulted in the area due to the mishap.
