KCR to knock on Arvind Kejriwal’s door for Federal Front cause
With an aim to take his Federal Front activities further, the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, is likely to call on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Indian National Lok Dal leaders and others after May 15.
Hyderabad: With an aim to take his Federal Front activities further, the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, is likely to call on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Indian National Lok Dal leaders and others after May 15.
According to party sources, the Chief Minister would start his Delhi tour during the second half of May and would meet leaders of various political parties besides retired defence personnel, diplomats and bureaucrats and discuss the agenda of the proposed Federal Front.
The Chief Minister, who would be busy with Rythu Bandhu scheme till May 15, had reportedly decided to take future course of action of Federal Front post the election results of Karnataka, which would be declared on May 15.
Sources said that Chandrashekar Rao will meet Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Indian National Lok Dal leader Abhay Singh Chautala during his New Delhi tour after Karnataka poll results. Though the Chief Minister had made plans to meet BJD leader and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, it was put off due to the cheque distribution scheme.
Earlier, the TRS chief had met several party leaders including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, DMK leaders M Stalin and Kanimozhi, JMM leader Hemanth Soren, JDS leader HD Dewe Gowda and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav.
A senior leader in the party said that the CM might stay for about four to five days in Delhi and might choose his daughter Nizamabad MP K Kavitha’s residence in Delhi as the office for the Front.
Stating that the Chief Minister had been pitching for qualitative change in the politics, a TRS leader added, “The CM has already made it clear that 2019 is not the target for the Front and it is not to make anyone Prime Minister of the country. Hence, the Front activities will continue.”
