Two Myanmar nationals were held by the police on Sunday night on charges of forging identity documents including Indian passports and Aadhaar cards. The police also arrested two local agents in Balapur who helped them procure the ID documents using forged documents.

According to the reports, the accused Mohammad Fayaz and Mohammad Faisal, both hailing from Myanmar and have been residing in Balapur since 2015.

The agents, Syed Nayeem, a visa agent from Warasiguda and Mohammed Aqeel, a carpenter along with the other two were arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Passport Act and the Foreigners Act.

Police seized one Indian passport, two Aadhar cards, one Voter ID card and a PAN card along with other fake documents.

Nayeem along with his accomplice Aqeel, were learned to be indulging in preparation of Indian passports by creating fake ID proofs such as Aadhaar card, PAN card etc. and producing the same to Passport authorities to obtain passports illegally.

In a bid to claim Indian citizenship, Fayaz and Faisal approached Nayeem to obtain the documents. While Nayeem created Aadhar cards by producing a fabricated rental deed, he then applied for passports on their behalf.

All the arrested were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
