Five jailed for drunk driving
Four motorists were booked and jailed in drunk and driving cases in the limits of Gajwel police station on Wednesday. According to Gajwel Traffic Sub Inspectors Anand and Sathyanarayana, four motorists, who violated the traffic rules and caught during the special drive at Preganapur cross roads, were awarded jail with a fine of Rs. 500 each.

The traffic violators B Laxmaiah (53) of Lingareddypally village of Jagadevpur mandal was punished with 3-day jail, T Ramakrihsna (20) of Arepally of Raipole mandal for 2-day jail, B Swamy of Jaligoan village of one-day jail, Imran and one more were also awarded with two day imprisonment by the Magistrate Ravindar Sathu at Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
The police warned the motorists to be careful while they are on the roads to follow the traffic rules strictly failing which will lead to the jail.
