HYDERABAD: The crescent for Eid-Ul-Fitr, which marks the conclusion of the fasting month of Ramzan, will be visible in Hyderabad on Thursday, with the use of optical equipment such as telescopes and powerful binoculars.
On the other hand, it would be visible to the naked eye on Friday, which in effect means, that the Eid-Ul-Fitr will fall on Saturday in India.
Eid is expected to fall on friday in Saudi Arabia, as different Muslims in different countries follow different set of rules to begin and end lunar months.
The official moon sighting committee would be meeting in Hyderabad and different parts of Telangana, to decide whether Eid is on Friday or Saturday.
