Assault on doctors: Hyderabad police urge public to not to take law in their hands
In the wake of the recent incidents where doctors are being attacked by the family of the deceased patients in Hyderabad, city police commissioner Anjani Kumar has issued a statement asking people to refrain from such tactics and not to \'take law into their own hands\'.
In the wake of the recent incidents where doctors are being attacked by the family of the deceased patients in Hyderabad, city police commissioner Anjani Kumar has issued a statement asking people to refrain from such tactics and not to 'take law into their own hands'.
Indicating that several such cases have been reported, the Commissioner urged the police officials to work in tandem with the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad to create more awareness regarding the issue.
He informed that few instances both in government and private hospitals have resulted in assaults on doctors. Mr Kumar stated that such incidents should not take place in a civilized and developed society adding that the public can always register a case with the local police if they are not satisfied with the treatment.
He also requested the doctors to show compassion while dealing with family members of patients.
