Over 300 children given free medical aid in Mahbubnagar
More than 328 school students in Damaragidda mandal under Narayanpet constituency were given free medical aid by Ravi Rural Health and Education Society in collaboration with Ravi Children’s Hospital on Wednesday.
Mahbubnagar: More than 328 school students in Damaragidda mandal under Narayanpet constituency were given free medical aid by Ravi Rural Health and Education Society in collaboration with Ravi Children’s Hospital on Wednesday.
According to Dr. Sekhar, medical director of Ravi Children’s Hospital, they have been conducting various social welfare programmes in Mahbubnagar district for one decade and as part of their social responsibility, they have taken up the responsibility of conducting free medical tests to poor students in rural areas.
As part of this initiative, the hospital authorities held a free medical camp for students in Damaragidda mandal and conducted medical test for more than 328 school children of Rainbow school.
“We have conducted free medical tests to 328 school students and also distributed free medicines worth Rs. 35,000 to them. Apart from this, we also have many other social programmes in the pipeline where we provide basic amenities like drinking water and constructing roads,” said Dr Sekhar.
“Even we appoint teachers in anganwadi centres to provide evening tuitions to the children in villages so that the students can study well and revise their day to day syllabus taught in the classes,” he informed.
Speaking on the occasion, Venu Peddi Reddy explained the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and also told the children to keep their hands clean which is important for keeping them self healthy. Dr Salim, Dr Sekhar, Damargidda Sub Inspector Ravinder, Ravi Children’s hospital Manager Venu Peddireddy, Rainbow school principal Raghavender Goud were present in the programme.
