Hyderabad: Telangana BJP State president Dr K Laxman appealed to the people of the State to give a chance to the BJP in the ensuing general elections for the reconstruction of the State.

Addressing at a public meeting organised at Bhongir as part of the Jana Chaitanya Yatra (JCY) on Saturday evening, he said, the State has become synonymous with “Contractors, Collections and Commissions.” To put an end to this family-rule and mis governance of the State for the last four years, Laxman appealed to people to give a chance for the BJP the reigns of the State.

Terming the State has been witnessing dark days in its history; he accused the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) turning into a hub of cheaters of separate Telangana movement.

Accusing the TRS is another Janata Dal-United (Secular) in Telangana; he said that the TRS has been walking in the footsteps of the Congress. Laxman asked people to think over the TRS track record in delivering its electoral promises like the creation of jobs, KG to PG and the like.

Daring the TRS to come for a public discussion on the funds released by the Centre to the State, he said, “There is no account for the crores of rupees that the Centre had released to Telangana for the construction of housing.” He said that the steering of the TRS is in the hand of MIM, he said that BJP alone can give a befitting response to that party.

Earlier in the morning, Laxman had offered Puja at Mahankali temple in Basheer Bagh and proceeded to Yadadri and offered prayers at Naramisha Swamy temple. Hundreds of party members along with MLA N V V S Prabhakar and others participated in the JCY launched today, which will continue till July 6.
