Sparing time from his busy political life, MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao has been taking his service activities to different levels by addressing genuine needs of the poorer sections in Palakurthy Assembly constituency.
He founded Errabelli Dayakar Rao Charitable Trust some 25 years ago with an objective of serving public by organising various charitable programmes. The Trust is now all set to offer a 50-day free coaching to job aspirants, who applied for different government posts.
‘We launched enrolment drive for three days, starting from June 21 to 23. About 1,600 unemployed youth registered their names for the coaching classes. Their response made us happy at being able to help so many to prepare for the job tests,’ the MLA said here on Wednesday.
“I found many youngsters leaving their native places to go to Hyderabad, Hanamkonda and others to get coaching. In involves lot of expenditure. As most of the youth are from poorer sections, we decided to offer free coaching close to their own places,” Dayakar Rao told The Hans India.
The coaching will be offered at two places, Thorrur and Palakurthy, each covering three mandals in the constituency. The classes will commence on Thursday (June 28) at Palakurthy and on Friday (June 29) at Thorrur, he revealed adding each participant will be given Rs 1,200 worth study material free.
The participants will be given coaching in arithmetic reasoning, geography, Telangana history, current affairs, science and technology and other subjects related to the tests, the Trust chairperson Usha Dayakar Rao informed.
TSWREIS secretary RS Praveen Kumar, TSPSC chairman Ghanta Chakrapani and other eminent persons will be invited to give lectures. The coaching classes will help candidates applied for VRO, SI, constables and Group-IV posts, she informed.
The chairperson further informed that the Trust established more than 60 mineral water plants to ensure safe drinking water to villagers. ‘During last exam season, we provided mid-day meals to degree and intermediate students to help them prepare well for the exams,’ she noted.
In addition to that a large number of dual-desks and bed sheets have been supplied to hostels. One could find as many as 2,600 cement benches put up by the Trust at village centres and gram panchayat offices all over the constituency, Usha Dayakar Rao said.
