Mahbubnagar: The new property registration system and launch of Dharani website is facing hurdles in Dharur and some of the other mandals under Achampet constituency of Nagarkurnool district due to lack of coordination between officials.

When launched, Dharani website will offer property registration services similar to that of core banking services system wherein property buyers and sellers will get instant messages on their mobile phones in case of any transaction on their properties.

However, in Achampet constituency it is facing roadblocks from the government officials. The main reason for not implementing the Dharani project is said to be pure lack of coordination between the staff of Tahasildar office and Dharani website office.

For instance, the works of Dharani project has come to a standstill and in Lingala mandal there is a sheer lack of coordination between the MRO and the officer overseeing the updating of Dharani website.

Because of lack of cooperation and support from the Tahasildar office the Dharani coordinator left his job and went away. “it is true that the Dharani project has been facing hiccups due to various reasons in Achampet constituency. However, we are trying to resolve all the issues and soon will be able to take up implementation of the project smoothly,” informed officials of Balmur Tahasildar office.

Similarly, other mandals like Uppununtala and Amarabad are also having similar complaints of not implementing the Dharani project properly. In Uppununtala mandal, the project has come to a halt as the officials are complaining of corrupt website issues. In Amrabad, the officials have not taken up any new dates but still continuing with updating old pending files of the land details in the mandal.

Overall the Dharani project implementation under Achampet constituency is in pathetic condition and if the district authorities do not intervene it is doubtful that the government’s novel initiative of updating all land records on its website will be a futile effort.
