Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday held a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan where he directed the officials to prepare a Detailed Project Report on construction of Regional Ring Road on the other side of the existing Outer Ring Road.
Regional Ring Road to overcome traffic congestion in Hyderabad
Stating that he would personally interact with the concerned officials of the Government of India for the release of funds for the construction of Outer Ring Road, KCR said Hyderabad City is the best cosmopolitan city in the country and is developing due to affordable and liveable climatic conditions and people are living harmoniously.
To be laid at a stretch of 338 kilometers covering Sangareddy – Gajwel – Chowtuppal -Mal – Kadthal - Shadnagar – Chevella – Kandi, the Regional Ring Road is likely to surpass the existing Mumbai - Pune, Ahmedabad - Vadodara express highways.
The junction roads connecting Vijayawada, Mumbai Bengaluru, Nagpur are to be developed for which the government plans to accumulate 300 to 500 acres of land. Amenities such as parking, food courts, restrooms, parks, children play area, shopping malls, drinking water, toilets will be provided at these junctions.
