Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi stole the hearts of people in the State by speaking in Telugu. Rahul Gandhi is on a two-days visit to Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.
Rahul Gandhi addressed the Vidyarthi–Nirudyoga Garjana at Saroornagar Stadium on Tuesday. He opened his address in Telugu and later continued his speech in Hindi and it was translated by party official spokesperson Dasoju Sravan. Speaking at the public meeting in Telugu, Rahul said, “Telangana Erpatulo vidyarthula patra enalenidi (role of students was immeasurable in formation of Telangana.”
He said that the Telangana movement was held with slogan of water, jobs and funds. However, those dreams were not materialised. The youth expected jobs if Telangana was formed but it did not happen. He said that so many have laid down their lives for Telangana. Though there were about one lakh vacancies in government departments, the government has not even filled 10,000.
