Nagarkurnool: Expressing their resentment and unhappiness, the old age pension beneficiaries of Tadoor village in Uppununtala mandal of Nagarkurnool district locked the MPDO office. The MPDO has been showing utter neglect to timely distribution of the old age pensions to the beneficiaries.

Staging a protest in front of MPDO office in Uppunutala, the villagers of Tadoor mandal locked the MPDO office and demanded the authorities to immediately release their pending pensions or else they would take up the matter to the District Collector.

The Congress party leaders supported the cause of the pensioners and took the opportunity to hit the TRS government and its pathetic official machinery which delayed the old age pensions to the beneficiaries.

“We have not been getting the pensions for the past two months. Despite our repeated request to the MPDO, the officials have not mended their ways and continue to show utter neglect to release the pending pensions. Over this we gathered at the office and locked it as a mark of protest,” said the protesting old age pensioners of Tadoor village.
