Hyderabad: Karra Aryan, student of Oxford Grammar School won the Bronze Medal at Junior Roller hockey at 18th Asian Roller-Skating championship in South Korea, held from September 4 to 14.

“It took six attempts for me to reach the international level of competition.

I was not disappointed or discouraged at any stage as I learned to be patient and positive,” said Aryan, during the felicitation programme at Oxford Grammar School, here on Tuesday.

The Indian team won a medal in Asian Roller-Skating championship for the first time, K Aryan, his father K Nagesh, his coach Jitender Gupta were present at the felicitation programme.

Chairman BC Commission Telangana, B S Ramulu was the chief guest for the event.

Ramulu encouraged students to participate in sports and games and other activities apart from their studies.

Sporting activities would refresh their left brain to conceive the teaching without strain.

Addressing the boys and girls, he said that the future Prime Minister, Doctors, Engineers, Writers were all among them, as they were the builders of nation.

Students, teachers and school management, wished Aryan a bright future and are expecting him to win gold and silver medals in future.
