Govt takes care of flagship schemes: KT Rama Rao
Post dissolution of Telangana Assembly, the state government is getting ready to implement on top priority the flagship schemes mainly the disbursement of second installment of incentives to farmers under Rythu Bandhu, which is considered a game changer in the forthcoming elections, and the launch of longpending Metro rail services between LB Nagar and Ameerpet
Hyderabad: Post dissolution of Telangana Assembly, the state government is getting ready to implement on top priority the flagship schemes mainly the disbursement of second installment of incentives to farmers under Rythu Bandhu, which is considered a game changer in the forthcoming elections, and the launch of long-pending Metro rail services between LB Nagar and Ameerpet.
State IT and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao and Chief Secretary SK Joshi and other top officials on Wednesday called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at the latter’s official residence and discussed progress of the Metro rail project. The meeting has decided to launch the Metro services between the busy LB Nagar and Ameerpet stretch on September 24 afternoon. Governor consented to flag off the Metro services.
KTR also informed the Governor the government’s efforts in making success the Rythu Bandhu scheme under which Rs 4,000 per acre will be given to farmers in November second week. Nearly 50 lakh farmers will get benefit.
Nearly Rs 5,000 crore is required for the implementation of the scheme in the Rabi season which begins from December. Official sources said that the state Finance department has already deposited Rs 3,000 crore in the banks for the Rythu Bandhu scheme and another Rs 2,000 crore will made available through different financial sources by November first week.
The only challenge before the government is fulfilling the promises made to the people. Construction of 2-bedroom houses was also on fast track. The government had promised the construction of 2.5 lakh 2-bedroom houses. Required funds from HUDCO were already released for the purpose.
As part of honouring the promise of providing one lakh jobs, the government instructed Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to issue notification for the recruitment of all sanctioned posts mainly in Police, Education, Medical and Health and Municipal Administration departments. Notification for filling nearly 20,000 teaching and non-teaching staff in residential schools has already been issued.
