Police saved a woman and her two children while attempting to commit suicide by jumping into Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir on Wednesday
Nagarjuna Sagar( Nalgonda): Police saved a woman and her two children while attempting to commit suicide by jumping into Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir on Wednesday.
According to the Nagarjuna Sagar SI Seenaiah, Kukkala Shirish, wife of Mallikarjun, a lorry driver, a native of Pedda Kakani of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
Shirisha – Mallikarjun couple blessed with son and daughter where as Shirisha lost her mental balance due to family disputes and decided to commit suicide with her children.
On Wednesday evening Shirisha along with her two children arrived at Nagarjuna Sagar, locals informed the police over the phone while she was moving suspiciously near the GENCO guest house.
On information, police rushed to the spot and after personal enquiry, police contacted her brothers over phone and handed over Shirisha and her two kids to them after counseling.
