Hyderabad: Caretaker Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav stated that the government had nothing to do with deletion of votes as alleged by the Opposition parties. He said that these were the dramas of the Congress party which is afraid of facing elections.
Addressing a press conference here at TRSLP office on Thursday, Srinivas Yadav said that the voters list is finalised by the Election Commission of India and the government had nothing to do with this. “Their (Congress) intentions are clear, they are not ready to face elections and hence are approaching courts. The court is also saying that the issue is under the purview of Election Commission,” Srinivas Yadav said. The people can cross check their names in the enrolment drive going on in the State, he added.
The Minister said that Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy was making promises which cannot be implemented. “Uttam Kumar Reddy is making announcements like a child. People have seen your government and your party is neither new and they know what the TRS government has done during the last four and half years,” said Yadav. The party is slated to get nearly 100 seats and it was predicted in all the surveys by different agencies.
The TRS leader lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah for using religion for votes. Why the BJP leader should talk about MIM, which has just seven seats in the State, asked Yadav. He said that the TRS would win all the seats represented by the BJP in the city.
Reacting on the proposed alliance of the TDP with the Congress, Yadav said that N T Rama Rao’s soul would have been crying. Yadav said that the unethical tie up between both the parties may fetch results in short term, but it would definitely cost them Andhra Pradesh. “NTR formed TDP against Congress on the self-respect of Telugus and the alliance will have an impact in Andhra Pradesh,” said Yadav.
Replying to another question, Yadav said that there is nothing like ‘settlers’ for TRS. People who live in Hyderabad are citizens of Telangana and the opposition parties bring this word before elections. When asked about Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu campaigning in his constituency, Yadav said he welcomes the decision.
