Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) gets down to preparation of Election Manifesto that would reflect aspirations of statehood movement. TJS chief Prof Kodandaram was closeted with intellectuals, experts from different fields as well as the top brass of Telangana JAC on Saturday evening to discuss about priorities and contents of election blueprint.

They would prepare a draft which would be put before the TJS State committee for any modification or additions before releasing the final document. Filling of one lakh jobs in the very first year if given a chance to form government, Rs 2,500 financial assistance every month to unemployed youth, adopting a better method to fix MSP (Minimum Support Price) for crops etc. are some of the few that TJS is keen on inclusion in its manifesto. Prof Kodandaram stated earlier that the TJS would prepare a novel "Jayashankar Manifesto" with ten commandments.

The TJS will come out with "Pragathiki Padi Sutralu; Kottha Rajakeeyalu-Kottha Arthika Pathakalu" (Ten steps for development: New politics-New Financial Schemes) document outlining its ten strategies, vision and plans etc for development of Telangana. According to party insiders, the TJS had been working on this aspect for quite some time, but things are being expedited in last three weeks after Assembly was dissolved to conduct early elections.

“Under aegis of Jayashankar Institute of Human Resources, intellectuals, experts, Telangana natives who held highest positions in different fields as well TJAC and TJS members are working on preparation of a document that would take care of aspirations and wishes of all sections. Retired Justice B Sudarshan Reddy, ex-MLC and educationist Chukka Ramaiah, TJAC convener K Raghu etc. are some of the personalities that the TJS is seeking inputs in preparation of its manifesto,” a key leader said.
