Ballot units, Voter-verifiable paper audit trails ready for polls

Bhupalpally: Jayashankar-Bhupalpally District Collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu said the administration has ensured tight security for the ballot units and Voter-verifiable paper audit trails (VVPATs) that have reached in the early hours of Sunday.  

He said that they have received 920 ballot units, 710 control units and 770 VVPATs from the Election Commission for the conduct of upcoming Assembly elections and they were stored at the Singareni Employees Recreation Club Hall in the presence of representatives of various political parties.

It may be mentioned here that there are Bhupalpally and Mulug Assembly constituencies that fall in the district. Joint collector K Swarnalatha, Bhupalpally and Mulug RDOs Venkata Chary and Ramadevi were among others present.
