JNTU celebrates National Service Scheme Foundation Day

Kukatpally: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Day was celebrated on a grand note at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) here on Monday. JNTU Rector Dr A Goverdhan was chief guest. He called upon students to render selfless services. State NSS officer Dr P Vishnu Dev explained the efforts of NSS. Gandhi Darshan National Secretary Sarvodaya Prasad said how students should strive to achieve Mahatma Gandhi’s objectives. 

NSS Coordinator Dr P Sammulal has given the details of the programmes taken up in the past two years. About 260 NSS volunteers, programme officers, students and others took part in the celebrations.
