Referring to the recent speeches of AICC president Rahul Gandhi at public meetings in Telangana, Harish criticized Rahul for not verifying the content that was included in the scripts. Responding to the Rahul’s statement regarding Kaleshwaram project, he said that the estimated cost of the project was only Rs 80,000 crore, while it was mentioned as Rs one lakh crore by Rahul. He also condemned Rahul Gandhi for misleading people that Dr Ambedkar’s name was removed from the name of the project being constructed at Thammidihatti.

He said that Rahul himself has downgraded his image by telling lies on the cost of Pragati Bhavan, which cost only Rs 15 crore and not Rs 300 crore as mentioned by the AICC president. Referring to the national status accorded to AP’s Polavaram project, he questioned why national status was not given to any of the Telangana projects. He also questioned the special status to AP while ignoring the interests of Telangana State. Why not even single Congress person from Telangana get place in CWC, he asked.  He challenged for an open debate on farmers suicides. He alleged that farmers committed suicide because of Congress anti-farmer policies.

Harish also made a scathing attack on TDP president and AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu for his anti-Telangana approach. He ridiculed Congress for aligning with TDP, which according to him is the party which works against the interests of Telangana.  He also condemned the recent comments made by BJP leader Ram Madhav on corruption in Kaleshwaram project. He said that BJP has no right to criticize TRS as central government itself has given all the permissions to the project. Referring to the farmer-friendly schemes of TRS, he said that TRS alone has understood the problems of farmers. Among those present on the occasion include former MLA M Yadagiri Reddy, MP Boora Narsaiah Goud and MLC B Venkateshwarulu.
