Update: 2018-11-13 05:30 IST

Hyderabad: Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Monday said that the benefits of the formation of Telangana have gone to 4Ks namely TRS chief and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Minister K T Rama Rao, MP K Kavitha and KCR’s Kutumbh (family).

Speaking to The Hans India, during his visit to the State to campaign on behalf of the Congress, he said that four members of the Chief Minister’s family have reaped all the benefits of Telangana.

He said that K Chandrashekar Rao did not achieve anything though he had boasted that he has done things nowhere like in the country. He said that Chandrashekar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are similar in characters.  He said that though Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister with promises like improving the Indian economy with slogans like Make in India and others, he failed to address the issues of the nation.

His decisions of demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax (GST) have ruined the national economy. During the regime of Modi, no big industry has come to the country. The worth of nonperforming assets has gone to Rs 7 lakh crore in the NDA regime from Rs one lakh crore during the UPA regime.

The Puducherry Chief Minister said that the scheme of Rs one crore loan in 59 minutes was meant to benefit an agency of Gujarat. He said that this agency would process the applications with a cost of Rs 1,000 per each application. It would get commission on sanctioning the loans. He said that most of the prestigious institutions located in Hyderabad have been established by the Congress and the TRS failed to get anything to the State in the past four and half years. He said that a Chief Minister does not need a bungalow built with a cost of Rs 300 crore. He said that he was living in a rented house and did not take rent from the government.

Narayanasamy said that the Chief Minister should be accessible to the people and he always keeps phone with him and attends the calls. He said that the Chief Minister should not feel like a Maharaja and said that he should set an example to the people. He said that in his State the farmers were provided with crop loan waiver, crop insurance and distribution of the Central help.

However, similar steps were not taken in Telangana and this has led to the suicides of about 4,500 farmers. He also criticised his Telangana counterpart for not coming to the rescue of the families of the martyrs. He said that the though the government promised a job, Rs 10 lakh compensation and other sops to the families of the martyrs, they were not implemented in letter and spirit.

He said that no woman was taken into the cabinet and the Woman Commission was not established in Telangana State. He said that the State which was surplus in budget at the time of inauguration was made a debt ridden one.
