Khammam: On the eve of 129 birth anniversary of India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Children’s day was celebrated in the premises of Harvest Tender Roots School here on Wednesday. As part of the celebrations, children participated in dance, fancy dress and sports competitions. School correspondent Ravi Maruth and principal Parvathi Reddy presented prizes to the winners of various competitions.

Speaking on the occasion, correspondent said that celebrations were held to enhance leadership qualities and creative thoughts among children. Parvathi Reddy advised children to participate in extra-curricular activities apart from regular studies for bright future. Among those participated in the program include HM Lavanya, academic in-charge Usha Sri and teaching & non-teaching staff.
