Hyderabad: Based on a complaint lodged against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the use of foul language, the Election Commission of India (ECI) served notices on TRS and sought an explanation within 48 hours.

Telangana Congress lodged a complaint with the commission against KCR over his comment “Thu Meebatuku Cheda” at a public meeting recently.

Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Rajat Kumar issued notices to the party and asked it to give a reply at the earliest. Officials said that the commission sent notices after verifying the documentary evidences submitted by the Congress. TRS party secretary-general K Keshava Rao was asked to respond.
