Minority panel visits Cherlapally jail

Kapra: The members of Telangana Minority Commission, led by Chairman Mohammed Qamaruddin, visited Cherlapally Central Prison on Thursday. They visited Annapurna kitchen and inspected rice and other items in storage rooms. They also visited Pranahitha Hospital and observed health services being provided to inmates.
The other places they visited included the prison library, Dr Ambedkar distance education centre and the manufacturing unit where the prisoners make store wells, stainless steel equipment and soaps. The visitors hailed the officials in providing employment and career opportunities to the inmates. Prison superintendent MR Bhaskar, deputy superintendents Chintala Dasaratham and Sammaiah were present.
