The actress who proved her acting prowess in other films like ‘No One Killed Jesica’, ‘Parineeta’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ and became a sought-after actress for author-backed roles in B-town. She was hailed as a all-round actress after a her sterling performance in raunchy film ‘Dirty Picture’ as she breathed life into the role of 80s bombshell Silk Smitha and walked away with acting honours as well as rocked box office records.

“Her acting talent is unmatched. Actually, we are looking for an actress who has a stature and larger-than-life image, hence Vidya perfectly fits the bill,” says a source close to the unit. The big bang family entertainer revolving around a honest physics lecturer and his wife, requires performers than just glam props. Actually, KWAN, a popular casting agency, is trying to work out the deal and bring out refreshing pairing of Venkatesh and Vidya Balan on screen,” adds the source.

With another production house A K Entertainments jointly producing this big-ticket film being directed by Teja, it would be casting coup of sorts, if they could manage to bring Vidya to T-town. Close on the heels of Shraddha Kapoor, Pooja Hegde and Kiara Advani, another B-town diva set for T-town stint. Let’s wait and see.
