If everything goes right, hotshot Rana's next mythological film 'Hiranyakasipudu' will be made with a whopping budget of Rs 108 crore by B-town production house ,Viacom 18. After Baahubali franchise, which was made with Rs 200 crore, this story of a Bhakta Prahalada will be the second costliest film in Rana's career and one of the big budgets films in T-town. "Rana's career graph is on the upswing after hits like 'Bahubali', "Ghazi' and "Nene Raju Nene Mantri'.

Impressed with Rana's success streak and the concept, B-town production house Viacom 18 doesn't mind investing Rs 108 crore for this visually-pleasing mythological, wherein Rana will be essaying the role of the ruthless demon Hiranyakasipudu.

A role played by legendary actor S V Ranga Rao in the past, Rana is looking forward for this magnum opus," says a source, close to the unit. The film will be directed by Gunashekar who is known for blockbusters like 'Bala Ramayanam', 'Chudalani Undi' and 'Okkadu' and an adept in making mythological film.

'After 'Rudrammadevi', Gunasekar has penned and designed the look of his next magnum opus. His mastery over special effects and CG work, will give the film the much-needed visual splendour," adds the source. We earlier mentioned in these columns that Rana-Guna are taking their mythological film forward a few weeks ago and now it is turning true and looks to take-off sooner than later as soon as Rana completes his patriotic film '1945'. Surely, Rana's career is racing ahead of his peers.
