Irumbu Thirai is the recent successful Tamil movie in the Indian film industry. The film has created quite a sensation. Now, the movie is dubbed in the Telugu language with the title Abhimanyudu. The film is hitting the screens on Friday, and the makers held a special screening of the movie on Thursday night.

The film that is tipped to be an action thriller film marks the debut of a director named PS Mithran. The film features Vishal, Arjun and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles, with Yuvan Shankar Raja composing the audio album. Vishal Film Factory produced the movie.

Story:

Karna (Vishal) an army man who suffers from the anger issues is made to go back to his village. To get his daughter married, Karna's father tries to procure a loan in the bank but are turned down by all the banks.

He then gets a loan with the help of fake documents. After the loan is approved, the money gets disappeared from the account which leads Vishal to a cyber criminal who is known as White Devil aka Satyamurthy (Arjun). What happens then is exciting and forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Vishal played the role of an army officer and convinced everyone with his subtle act. The actor is perfect and performed within the limitations of his character. Samantha who played the psychiatrist has enough scope for the performance in the movie along with shedding the glamour.

The on-screen chemistry between the lead pair is impressive. Action King Arjun added a lot of weight to his character especially with the expressions and the dialogue delivery. Robo Shankar's comedy brought some good laughs in the movie. Delhi Ganesh played a useful role. Kaali Venkat, Vincent Asokan, and Madhusoodhanan are right in their limited parts.

Technicalities:

The writing of the movie is decent. The dialogues are good, and the makers took good care while dubbing the film. Yuvan Shankar Raja's tunes are pleasant, and the background score has been the best.

The BGM lifted the movie entirely. George C Williams is good with his camera. The output is brilliant. The frames are vibrant and colorful. Ruben's editing is neat and sharp. The graphics work is decent. The production values are grand.

Verdict:

Abhimanyudu is a well made cyber crime thriller that is not just engaging but also entertaining. The racy screenplay is the primary asset of the movie. After a long time, here is a film that has a good theme and convincing conflict. The director tried to highlight some critical issues of the society in the movie.

The film's central theme is adequately executed and the audiences will surely find a connection with the points raised in the film. On the whole, the movie is a much-needed one in the recent times. Go for it.
